Rules for membership
Clash of Clans is a game, it is fun (or supposed to be) and silly rules take a lot of fun out of the game, That being said, at UPSIDE DOWN there are some simple rules to be followed. Also apply common sense.
- REQUEST as often as you possibly can, and then DONATE as much as you possibly can. This allows everyone to have full castles and to get what they need.
- Respect the donation requests. Try to donate what is requested, if nothing is stated the general rule here is DONATE GIANTS OR ARCHERS. That being said, requests like dragons, pekka, golum won't be entertained unless asked for a war attack. These units take a lot of time to build and cost heavy on resources.
- It is very important for every member to use both of their clan war attacks every clan war. It is a game, and real life is more important. However it is not difficult to log on for 5 minutes to build units and 5 minutes later to attack. One can easily use both attacks. This is what is given the most weight when deciding who should remain in the clan and who should be removed.
- RESPECT the leaders and clan mails. The mails are sent periodically to make every member aware of clan strategy. If you can't respect that, you can't respect the clan.
- NO FOUL LANGUAGE. We have members of all ages and demographics. Swearing on clan board may seem cool to you but it is a strict no-no at Upside Down.
- NOONE SHOULD DONATE TO WAR CCs. The people who do know who they are. If that is not you, please do not donate. It hurts the clan very badly.
Promotion Criteria
There have been requests for promotion to Elder as soon as a new member joins, Even Co-, Sadly that isn't how it works. The criteria for promotions are as follows:
ELDER :
1) 400 to 500 donations per season (war donations don't count in the total for the season. Nobody should donate in clan wars. The people who do know who they are. If that is not you, please do not donate. It hurts the clan very badly). You must achieve this to be promoted and you must also maintain this each season. You may lose your position if you cease to reach the criteria consistently.
2) You must participate in the wars. Not just use your attacks, show that you are working to win. If you get 6 trophies a war, that is amazing, except if your a high level and those attacks were on their lowest players, that is no good. If you get 0 stars in a war, but you tried a well planed attack and were outgunned, unlucky, or you made a mistake, that is OK, THAT is what matters. That you are TRYING, you are learning. This is what the leaders who watch all the war battles look for when choosing potential promotions or removals from the clan.
Co-Leader :
Co-Leader positions are offered to members who have proven themselves invaluable to the clan as Elders, they are always there for advice and a helping hand when they are on. Co- positions are created and filled when a certain job needs doing (see About Us page), Clan War leader, Recruiting Leader, Booting-Inactive Leader, and they usually have a deputy. Co-Leaders carry the same power as the leader. What they say goes. Decisions are very rarely made alone, there is discussion before action is taken.
VERY IMPORTANT
Asking questions, there really is no such thing as a stupid question in any part of life no matter what anybody tells you. The only stupid question is the one you do not ask.
The more questions you ask, the more you learn. Asking questions and learning to play the game, then helping others is the most important part of being promoted. An elder's main job is giving advice, help, teaching such things as: how to build a better base, how to attack a war enemy most effectively, etc.Showing leadership. These things will make you Elder or perhaps Co.
